Code of Ethics and Helpline Information

Our Promise

Valley Health strives to ensure responsibility and accountability as we serve our community by improving health. We are committed to an environment where open, honest communications are the expectation, not the exception.

Our Code of Ethics

The Valley Health Code of Ethics, accessible by clicking here, touches all aspects of the services we provide. It is a reliable guide for our day-to-day work. In short, this Code is a description of the promises we make.

  • Promises to those we serve: patients, residents and family members
  • Promises to co-workers and those who serve with us
  • Promises to Valley Health System and the community we serve
  • Promises to our suppliers and business partners
  • Promises to regulators and those who pay for our services

This Code provides ethical principles to support our direction and our strategies, including our commitments to:

  • Provide care that is safe and reliable and honors what our patients are experiencing,
  • Create a culture in the workplace that is fair, and
  • Put honesty first in all our partnerships.

The Integrity & Ethics Helpline

We encourage employees, patients and others to speak up if something isn’t right, if they need guidance, or if they want to report a concern about possible inappropriate or illegal behavior. Valley Health maintains an Integrity & Ethics Helpline for reporting concerns like:

  • Regulatory violations
  • Patient privacy and security
  • Billing fraud
  • Ethical concerns

The Helpline is available to help 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by calling 844-601-1872. All calls are confidential and the caller may remain anonymous. To report concerns online, click here.

Valley Health policies prohibit any retaliation or retribution against anyone who makes a report in good faith. You have our commitment that your concerns will be heard. The Integrity & Ethics Helpline is NOT a 911 or Emergency Service. Do not use this phone number to report events presenting an immediate threat to life or property. If you require emergency assistance, please contact 911.
