Beginning April 5, 2021, additional health information will be available to patients more quickly in their MyChart account. To learn more, visit

MyChart is a free, easy, and secure way to view portions of your personal health information and communicate with members of your Valley Health healthcare team. Now, no matter where you are, at home, at work, or on the road, you can securely and conveniently use the Internet to help manage and receive information about your health.

If you have received healthcare services at any Valley Health hospital, Urgent or Quick Care locations, or from any Valley Physician Enterprise practice, your medical record can be found in MyChart. Patients who are inpatients at any Valley Health hospital; a patient at any of our Urgent Care locations; or have an office visit at a Valley Physician Enterprise practice, receive an After Visit Summary (AVS) that has an activation code to create a MyChart account.

With MyChart, you can:

  • Access and review test results. No more waiting for a phone call or letter.
  • Request appointments with Fast Pass. Swap current appointments and see your doctor sooner.
  • Request appointments with Direct Scheduling. Make your own appointments online or via mobile app.
  • Receive automated reminders for such important health screenings as mammograms or blood pressure checks.
  • Request prescription renewals
  • Send a secure email message to your doctor’s office at anytime.
  • Keep track of allergies, immunizations and medications.
  • View details of upcoming or past appointments.
  • Update personal information.
  • Pay bills online.

Signing Up for a MyChart Account

Activate Your Account Sign Up Online

There are three ways that you can sign up for MyChart:

  1. Sign up at Valley Health:
    1. The staff will assist you in signing up for a MyChart account during your visit at one of our locations.
  2. Activate your account:
    1. Click on the Activate Your Account button above.
    2. Use the activation code that can be found on your enrollment letter, bill or the last page of your visit summary. Follow the instructions to activate your account.
  3. Sign up online:
    1. If you do not have an activation code and do not already have an account, click on the Sign Up Online button above. Follow the instructions to create your account.

Use MyChart on Your Smartphone

Access MyChart on the go by installing the MyChart App on your smartphone or tablet.

To download the app:

  1. Search for the MyChart application in the Apple or Android app store.
  2. When the results appear, select the MyChart Epic systems app.
  3. Click install. Once the app is downloaded, select Valley Health MyChart.
  4. Log in with your username and password to access your chart.

Valley Health and Inova

Valley Health and Inova Health System have formed an alliance to bring you MyChart, a shared electronic database and record. Whether you receive your patient care through a Valley Health or an Inova Health System provider, you will have access to your healthcare information through this one, secure patient portal.
