Disorders of the aorta can be some of the most challenging problems facing patients and their physicians. The aorta, the largest artery in the body and spanning the entire length of chest and abdominal cavities, can develop aneurysms, ulceration, dissection, infection or even sudden rupture leading to death. Most commonly, these develop with little symptoms and are detected incidentally. At Valley Health, we have a dedicated multidisciplinary team focused on the treatment of aortic disorders.
