Activate Your Account
MyChart is a free, easy, and secure way to view portions of your personal
health information and communicate with members of your Valley Health
healthcare team. Now, no matter where you are, at home, at work, or on
the road, you can securely and conveniently use the Internet to help manage
and receive information about your health.
If you have received healthcare services at any Valley Health hospital,
Urgent or Quick Care locations, or from any Valley Physician Enterprise
practice, portions of your medical record can be found in MyChart. Patients
who are inpatients at any Valley Health hospital; a patient at any of
our Urgent Care or Quick Care locations; or have an office visit at a
Valley Physician Enterprise practice, receive an After Visit Summary (AVS)
that has an activation code to create a MyChart account.
With MyChart, you can:
- Access and review test results, no more waiting for a phone call or letter
Request appointments with two new features,
Fast Pass (an electronic waitlist that allows you to swap your current appointment
for an earlier one should one become available) and
Direct Scheduling (make your own appointments online or via the mobile app. Currently available
for select services and providers.).
- Request prescription renewals
- Send a secure email message to your doctor’s office at anytime
- Keep track of allergies, immunizations and medications
- View details of upcoming or past appointments
- Receive automated reminders for such important health screenings as mammograms
or blood pressure checks
- Update personal information
- Pay bills online
Signing Up for a MyChart Account
There are three ways that you can sign up for MyChart:
1. Sign up at Valley Health:
The staff will assist you in signing up for a MyChart account during your
visit at one of our 6 Valley Health hospitals, Urgent Care or Quick Care
or you may sign up at one of Valley Health clinics.
2. Sign up online:
a) Click on the green
activate your account button located above.
b) Follow the instructions to create an account. Use the activation code
that can be found on your enrollment letter, bill or the last page of
your visit summary.
3. Request your activation code:
If you do not have an activation code you can go to the MyChart website
and click the blue “Sign Up Online” link and request your
activation code. Patients who do not have an activation code may still
create a new MyChart account by calling 1-855-694-6682 and press 4 for

Access MyChart on the go by installing the MyChart App on your smartphone
To download the app:
Search for the
MyChart application in the Apple or Android app store.
When the results appear, select the
MyChart Epic systems app.
- Click install. Once the app is downloaded, select Valley Health MyChart.
- Log in with your username and password to access your chart.
Valley Health and Inova
Valley Health and Inova Health System have formed an alliance to bring
you MyChart, a shared electronic database and record. Whether you receive
your patient care through a Valley Health or an Inova Health System provider,
you will have access to your healthcare information through this one,
secure patient portal.
