What You Need to Know About Trauma/Emergency Care

Minutes can mean the difference between life and death for a traumatic injury. A “trauma patient” is someone with injuries suffered as a result of a traumatic event, such as: motor vehicle collisions, ground-level fall, slipping, falling off playground equipment, hiking, bicycling and ATV accidents. Specialized Level II trauma team care is essential when an accident leads to a life-threatening injury. To learn more about emergency and trauma care at Winchester Medical Center, click here.
