Dr. Villanueva is a fellowship trained colorectal surgeon with robust experience in minimally invasive surgery for colorectal cancer and benign colon diseases, inflammatory bowel diseases, pelvic floor disorders and complex anorectal problems. She has joined Valley Health Surgical Oncology in Winchester.

Before coming to Winchester, Dr. Villanueva practiced in Maine for eight years, where she served the colorectal surgery needs of the upper two-thirds of the state. She also served as a physician quality leader both as a Cancer Liaison Physician for the Cancer Committee and Surgeon Champion for the ERAS (Enhanced Recovery After Surgery) program in Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center.

Dr. Villanueva is a Fellow of the American College of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
