About

Edward Lee, MD has been practicing neonatology at Winchester Medical Center since 1998. He knew he wanted to be in Pediatrics since high school. He went to the East Coast for college where he met his wife, Donna, at Duke University. After graduating from college, he spent 18 months at the National Institute for Environmental Health and Sciences as a research technician before entering medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His intention upon entering medical school was to go into primary care medicine, specifically Pediatrics. While rotating in Neonatology at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, North Carolina he discovered his love for Neonatology.

He completed his Pediatric Residency at Washington University, St. Louis where his oldest son was born. He returned to North Carolina for his Fellowship in Neonatology. During his Fellowship his twins arrived. He worked briefly in South Carolina as a staff neonatologist and then moved to Winchester. He loves the people, his co-workers and the Winchester area. He has enjoyed watching his family grow and mature along with the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Winchester Medical Center these past sixteen years.
