Emily Burner

About

Emily is originally from Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, and graduated from Randolph-Macon College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. In addition, she holds a Master of Science degree in broadcast journalism from Syracuse University and a Doctor of Professional Studies degree in organizational leadership from Shenandoah University.

Prior to her service with Valley Health, Emily held many roles over the course of her 14 years with Shenandoah University, working in the areas of athletics, marketing & communications, and alumni & advancement. She moved to the Winchester area in 2006 to work as a reporter and producer for TV3 Winchester.

Emily joined Valley Health in 2022 and serves as senior director of development for Valley Health Foundations. She raises funds that are utilized to improve Valley Health hospitals and facilities, and to support community health efforts. Emily and her family reside in Stephenson, Virginia.
