About
Amariah is a Clinical Therapist with Valley Health Outpatient Behavioral Health | Winchester. She started working at Valley Health in December 2021 as the Intake Coordinator for the department and transitioned to the Clinical Therapist position in November 2022. Amariah graduated with her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from James Madison University in 2016. In 2019 she completed her Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in Clinical Social Work practice and a Child Welfare certification from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Amariah has seven years of social work experience in various settings such as CPS, foster care, and adoption at private and public child-serving agencies, as well as psychiatric residential facility for children and adolescents. As a Valley Health therapist, her role specializes in mental health treatment for depression, anxiety, trauma, and suicide prevention. She has been working toward becoming a Licensed Clinical Social Worker.
