Daniel Maxwell, DO
About
Daniel Maxwell, DO, FACS, is a board-certified general surgeon with advanced training in complex and high-acuity surgical care. He completed medical school at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Suwannee, Georgia, followed by an internship at Emory University School of Medicine, where he also completed a general surgery residency and developed expertise in minimally invasive and robotic surgery.
Dr. Maxwell, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, brings a high level of technical skill and clinical precision to a wide range of surgical specialties. As an osteopathic physician, Dr. Maxwell applies a whole-body, integrative approach to surgery—balancing leading-edge surgical science with a strong focus on nutrition, wellness, and long-term recovery. His work is grounded in a passion for clinical research, surgical quality improvement, and innovation.
Outside the operating room, Dr. Maxwell recharges through exercise, reading, writing, travel, and most of all, spending time with his wife and daughter.
