About

Charissa "Charley" Carfrey, AGPCNP, specializes in wound care as well as adult gerontology.

She began her training at Thomas Jefferson University School of Nursing and furthered her WOCN education at LaSalle University. She received additional training at Cleveland Clinic under Dr. Jacalyn Brace and has worked closely with Podiatric teams throughout her career. She is trained in the utilization of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, both as RN and as a formal provider. She has been a member of healthcare teams in Skilled Nursing & Acute Long-Term Care facilities, as well as Outpatient Wound Centers, and served as Inpatient Wound Care Coordinator for a suburban Philadelphia hospital.

She moved to Winchester to join the Center for Advanced Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine in 2015 and completed her MSN from the University of Cincinnati in 2020. Charley enjoys educating others in the science and art of wound care, as well as providing excellent, compassionate care to members of the community. She particularly enjoys the team approach to wound care here at Valley Health and the opportunity to work among clinicians of multiple disciplines to achieve the best outcomes.
