MyValleyHealth may offer location-based check-in for in-person appointments or allow you to find healthcare providers near you. The first time you try to use any features that use your location, we will ask for your consent within the app and will only access your location if you give consent. You do not have to provide consent if you do not want to allow MyValleyHealth to use your location. We do not store your location data.

Information Use

We use the collected information primarily for our own internal purposes, such as providing, maintaining, evaluating, and improving our services and Website, fulfilling requests for information, and providing customer support.

SMS Terms and Conditions

When you sign up for text messages from Valley Health System (VHS), you are signing up to receive text messages related to your relationship with VHS, including updates related to your visits, MyChart account, one-time passcode, billing notifications, prescription reminders, and care management.

You can opt-out of SMS messages by texting STOP to the respective short code. Your opt-out request will generate one final message confirming that you have been unsubscribed. You will no longer receive SMS messages from the short code you opted out from. If you want to join again, you can sign up using MyChart or text HELP to the short code for instructions.

While VHS will not charge a premium for text message communication, message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from VHS and to VHS from you by your mobile phone carrier. Message frequency may vary. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

VHS considers patient privacy a high priority. VHS will never sell or distribute your cell phone number to a third party unless approved by you. VHS will never directly market to you any services for which you have not opted in. VHS will never distribute any personal information about you, including your phone number, name, billing information or any other piece of identifying information.

Security

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it.

If we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page.
