Whitney Maddox, LPC

About

Whitney is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Licensed Substance Abuse Treatment Practitioner (LSATP) serving as the Manager of Substance Use Disorder (SUD) programs with Valley Health Outpatient Behavioral Health. She graduated with her master’s of counseling from West Virginia University and is a Certified Child and Adolescent Trauma Professional. Whitney has worked in various direct care and management roles, including foster care, schools, and home-based programs. She joined Valley Health in March 2020 and has over 15 years of experience working with individuals of all ages providing individual, group and family therapy.

Whitney is thrilled to use her extensive background of direct clinical care, community partnership, supervision and the management of community-based programs to expand SUD services in our community. Her approach is eclectic and dynamic and includes evidence-based theory and creative techniques to motivate and empower individuals in their journey towards growth and healing. Whitney is a Board Approved Supervisor providing clinical supervision to residents in counseling as they work towards licensure.
