Dr. Nicolas C. Restrepo serves as the Chief Quality and Patient Safety Officer at Valley Health.
He joined the Urology Clinic of Winchester and the Winchester Medical Center attending staff in 1995, where he held various leadership roles within the Medical Staff. In 2011, Dr. Restrepo took on the role of Vice President of Medical Affairs at Winchester Medical Center. During his tenure, he championed the hospital's journey towards High Reliability over the next decade.
In 2021, he was appointed as Valley Health’s inaugural Chief Quality and Patient Safety Officer, focusing on implementing systems of care designed to eliminate preventable harm to both patients and the care team. Dr. Restrepo earned his undergraduate degree from the Catholic University of America and his medical degree from the University of Virginia. He completed his internship and residency at Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. In 2023, he furthered his education by obtaining a master's degree in Healthcare Systems Engineering from Johns Hopkins University.
