We like to think of Valley Health as one large family, and nothing personifies that more than when family members work together in our health system. Meet the mother-daughter duo of Cindy and Anna Rankin.

What do you like about working with your daughter? It's nice to be able to work together and know we are there if we need each other. Mostly, it's great to watch Anna fulfilling her dream of becoming a RN.

Why did you choose Valley Health? After 25 years, the company I work for closed, and Anna suggested that I apply to work at Valley Health. It was one of the best decisions that I ever made. I appreciate the opportunity for advancements, the benefits, and friends that I have made.

What do you like about working with your mom? I like working with my mom because she is always there for me throughout my shift. We used to work on the same unit until she transferred to Employee Health, and I can see how happy she is in her new position. I enjoy seeing her during lunch when I am at work or at clinical with my nursing school because she always brings so much joy and laugher to everyone. She is a great mom, and I couldn't imagine not working with her.

Why did you choose Valley Health? I chose to work at Valley Health when I graduated high school because it allowed me to begin my nursing career. I have learned so much since I started two and a half years ago. Valley Health has allowed me to continue my nursing education while working, and I am about to graduate nursing school in May. I plan to continue working at Valley Health as a registered nurse (RN).
