What do you like about working with your daughter? It is nice having my daughter close even though we rarely see each other at work. She has been away completing medical school and residency for several years, and it is wonderful to have her back and closer to home.

Why did you choose Valley Health/Hampshire Memorial Hospital? Why I chose Valley Health and Hampshire is because of the philosophy of the system and putting the patients first. I work with an excellent group of coworkers who are like family. Everyone works efficiently to deliver the best patient care possible. More importantly, they strive to improve in every way possible. I highly value those characteristics and strengths. I am happy to be a part of the Valley Health family along with welcoming my daughter to be a part of this Hampshire Memorial workplace.

What do you like about working with your mother? I enjoy working in the same facility as my mom. Knowing your mom is close by and just a floor away is comforting. On a rare occasion, I go up and visit for lunch and see if she needs anything for lunch or dinner. She was my inspiration to become a doctor and pursue a career in the medical field. I love to hear employees mention how they love working with my mom or how she provides great care to her patients. I am very proud of my mom and love having her work nearby.

Why did you choose Valley Health/Hampshire Memorial Hospital? I grew up with my mom as an inspiration to obtain my medical degree. She loves working at Valley Health Hampshire Memorial and I trust and value her opinion highly. Mr. Tom Kluge found out about my pursuit of becoming a physician and started recruiting me early. Rural medicine is of utmost importance to me, and providing care near my hometown of Mount Storm, West Virginia, has always been a goal. I love West Virginia and the great people of the state and I knew Hampshire Memorial Multispecialty Clinic would be a great fit. I appreciate how kind, generous and welcoming the Hampshire Memorial family has been, and I look forward to spending several years as part of this family that shares the values near and dear to my heart.
