About
Dr. Glembot is the Medical Director of the Valley Health Metabolic & Bariatric Program. A native of Warrenton, VA, he attended Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA where he received his medical degree and completed his general surgery residency and research fellowship. Bariatric surgery is Dr. Glembot’s passion. "It is very satisfying to see the improvements in a person’s health that occurs after this life-saving procedure." Dr. Glembot completed his surgical residency in 1998 where he was introduced to the highly specialized field of metabolic and bariatric surgery. As Medical Director of the Valley Health Metabolic and Bariatric Program, Dr. Glembot is responsible for overseeing the entire program and ensuring that all components are well integrated to make metabolic and bariatric surgery as safe as possible for all patients. Dr. Glembot also serves as Chair, Department of Surgery. He has written or co-authored numerous journal articles as well as a book chapter. He lives in Winchester and enjoys outdoor activities, exercise, and motorcycling.
