Valley Health’s CCRN™ and PCCN Review Course is for nurses who provide direct bedside care to acutely and/or critically ill adult patients in areas such as ICU, CCU, trauma units, interventional radiology/cardiology, or critical care transport/flight.

This is a review course for the CCRN™ and PCCN exam. Candidates must register separately for the examinations and meet one of the following clinical practice requirement options:

• Option 1: Practice as an RN or APRN for 1,750 hours in direct bedside care of acutely ill adult patients during the previous two years, with 875 of those hours accrued in the most recent year preceding application.
• Option 2: Practice as an RN or APRN for at least five years with a minimum of 2,000 hours in direct bedside care of acutely ill adult patients, with 144 of those hours accrued in the most recent year preceding application.

Valley Health Professional Development is approved as a provider of continuing nursing education by the Virginia Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. This program has been awarded 14.0 contact hours.
