Please Note - While those employed with Valley Health are eligible to use the Employee Child Care Center, at this time the waitlist is extensive. We appreciate your patience.
We are located on the Amherst Street Winchester Medical Center campus. The staff of our Child Care Center help your child feel secure and happy, as well as stimulated, in our well-organized and challenging learning environment. You can concentrate on job responsibilities knowing that your child is close by, safe and having fun.
Below are a few facts about our Child Care Center. For more information, please contact Lorraine Zelaski, Director or Suzanne Woskobunik, Supervisor at 540-536-8815 or 540-536-8818. Every effort is made to accommodate the needs of each employee. However, the center has certain capacity and teacher-to-child ratio limits. There may be a waiting list for some age levels. All children are able to begin attending our Child Care Center as soon as space becomes available in an age-appropriate classroom.

The daily program at our Child Care Center consists of age-appropriate activities led by trained staff members following a specified curriculum. Each day will include a variety of activities for the growth and well-being of your whole child. Planned experiences will encourage the development of motor, social, language, quantitative, music, sensory, and arts and crafts skills. All children are encouraged to participate in teacher and self-initiated activities. The daily schedule will satisfy your child’s basic needs for nourishment and rest, as well as provide a variety of quiet and more active experiences. For a detailed daily schedule, employees are encouraged to visit the Valley Health Intranet.
