Valley Health offers a comprehensive Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) training program that prepares individuals to become certified EMTs. The program teaches all the necessary skills and knowledge to pass the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) certification exam and become licensed to work as an EMT in the state.
EMT program students become Valley Health employees and spend their first two and a half months in “EMT School” as full-time employees. Becoming an EMT or paramedic is a rewarding career choice for those who have a passion for helping others and want to impact their community positively. EMTs and paramedics provide essential care to patients in emergency situations and play a vital role in saving lives. They respond to emergency calls, provide first aid, and transport patients to medical facilities.
EMTs also can continue their education and advance in their careers by becoming paramedics. The training and certification process for EMTs and paramedics is rigorous, but the rewards of the job make it well worth the effort. With Valley Health's EMT training program, you'll be well on your way to an exciting and rewarding career as an EMT.
