Due to increased COVID-19 rates, Valley Health is making the following changes, effective November 21:
Health screening and hand hygiene will occur upon entrance to Hampshire Memorial Hospital. Care Partners may enter the hospital 8am-8pm, seven days per week. Masks must be worn throughout all hospital public areas and when the health care team is in a patient’s room.
Patients may have one support person. Upon inpatient admission, patients may choose if they would like their one support person to become a Care Partner.
Support persons not permitted at this time.
One Care Partner is permitted to provide decision making in regards to advanced care planning.
Two family or friend care partners may be at the patient’s bedside at a time. While there are no visiting hour restrictions for EOL visits, time will be managed within reason by the clinical team. If requested, clergy will be allowed to administer last rites or other religious end of life customs.
