Hampshire Memorial Hospital Visitor Information

Masks required in all Valley Health Facilities

For the safety of our patients, visitors and staff, masks are required inside Valley Health facilities – even for those who are fully vaccinated. The lifting of community mask requirements by the CDC specifically excludes healthcare settings. Thank you for your understanding.

COVID-19 Visitation Exceptions

For the safety of our patients, staff and community at this time social visits remain restricted. We are allowing patients to choose if they wish to have Care Partner(s) who provide physical and emotional support.

System-Wide Hospital Care Partner Policies

The following changes go into effect on May 18, 2021:

  • Two (2) Care Partners are permitted in the patient’s room, per day. Care partners may switch-out after a 24-hour period. All Care Partners must check in and check out daily and must have a valid photo I.D.
  • Community Clergy may visit a patient upon request and may be at the bedside in addition to the two visiting Care Partners to allow spiritual support. Community Clergy must only visit the patient who made the request and may not proceed to additional patient rooms.

Health screening and hand hygiene will occur upon entrance to Hampshire Memorial Hospital. Care Partners may enter the hospital 8am-8pm, seven days per week. Masks must be worn throughout all hospital public areas and when the health care team is in a patient’s room.

Exceptions Include:

  • End-of-Life Care: There are no visiting hour limitations for EOL visits. Time and number of visitors will be managed within reason by the clinical team.
  • Outpatient Procedural/Surgical Areas: Patients may have one designated visitor wait in designated waiting areas as directed.
  • Inpatient Procedural/Surgical Areas: Support persons not permitted at this time.
  • Long-Term Care Unit: Hampshire Memorial Hospital Long-Term Care is not allowing Care Partner visitation.
