Non-Employee Orientation

When entering the healthcare environment for clinical education or observation, Valley Health requires all students, faculty, and volunteers to complete the “On-line Orientation” module. The content in the orientation module provides you with an introduction to Valley Health—our mission, vision, and values as well as important information to keep our patients and YOU safe in the healthcare environment.

The orientation is written in narrative format. At the end of each section 1-4 simple quiz questions will appear to test your knowledge of the content. A score of 80% is required for successful completion of the orientation module. Before beginning the orientation, select a computer linked to a working printer to print out three required documents for signature:

  • Confidentiality statement;
  • Reportable Conditions statement; and
  • Successful completion certificate

Bring these documents with you to your assigned Valley Health site and give to your VH representative. Students and faculty in the health professions are asked to submit the documents to the academic institution’s faculty coordinator.

Note: This replaces the previous Student/Faculty Orientation module previously available via CD or accessed while on-site at a VH facility.
