Our History

Warren Memorial Hospital (WMH) is a licensed 60-bed acute-care hospital located in Front Royal, Virginia.

For over 70 years, Warren Memorial Hospital has partnered with the community to improve health and wellness throughout Warren County, Virginia and beyond. Warren Memorial was the first hospital to affiliate with Valley Health System (formerly known as Winchester Regional Health Systems) in 1993. Since then, patients have come to our hospital for advanced surgical services, reliable elderly care, diagnostic services, rehabilitation services, skilled nursing assistance, and much more. In 2008 Warren Memorial Hospital opened an outpatient facility on Commerce Avenue that includes occupational health, outpatient rehabilitation services, and physician offices.

We are committed to creating an exceptional patient experience while enhancing access to services, promoting advances in technology and clinical expertise, achieving efficiencies and high reliability and improving the overall health and well-being of the residents of Front Royal and Warren County.

We are excited to advance health care once again by investing nearly $100 million in our community through our new thoroughly modern hospital. With 36 private patient rooms, 18 Emergency Department beds, Operating Rooms, a Cath Lab and expansive walking trails on a 150-acre campus, this new facility can expand and develop to meet our community's changing needs.
