
Samantha Burton is from Orlando, Florida. She attended the University of
Central Florida
for her undergraduate education where she obtained her Bachelor of Science
in Health Sciences. After spending some time as an adjunct professor,
Sam obtained her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Shenandoah University,
Bernard J. Dunn School of Pharmacy. Her pharmacy related interests are
currently quite broad, she is hoping to discover her passion during this
PGY-1 year. Outside of pharmacy, Sam enjoys visiting local breweries,
traveling, making stained glass, and spending time with her mustached
cat, Miss Kitty.
Sam’s research project this year will be evaluating the hemodynamic effects of propofol in patients with heart failure.

Noah Lizer is from Winchester VA. He attended James Madison University for his
undergraduate education where he obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Music
Education. After teaching for several years, he obtained his Doctor of
Pharmacy Degree from Shenandoah University, Bernard J. Dunn School of
Pharmacy. His pharmacy related interests include critical care, internal
medicine and antimicrobial stewardship. Outside of residency, he enjoys
baking, playing music, yard work, learning ballroom dance and spending
time with his wife and two daughters.
Noah’s research project this year will be evaluating the predictive value of the MRSA nares PCR in patients with wound infections.
