Student Clinical and Observation Opportunities

Valley Health supports students preparing for careers in healthcare. Whether you're completing a clinical rotation or exploring a future in medicine, we offer structured, supportive learning experiences. We offer two types of student experiences: clinical placement and observation experiences.

Clinical Student Placement

Valley Health uses the Exxat One platform to manage student placements and onboarding. This system helps streamline communication between students, schools, and our clinical teams. There is no cost to students or schools to use Exxat One.

Who Can Apply

To request a clinical placement:
  • All students and faculty requesting time slot placement and onboarding must be enrolled in or employed by an affiliated school.
  • Your school must either request access to Exxat One or use existing login credentials.

Already have a confirmed sponsor and schedule?
Please have the sponsor email the dates and times to student@valleyhealthlink.com. Academic Services will assign the rotation in Exxat. Then, skip to Step 5 below.

How to Get Started

  1. Submit Access Request
A school representative completes the Exxat One Access Request Form.
  2. Get Login Credentials
Exxat reviews the request and sends login credentials to the school rep.
  3. Request a Placement
Log into Exxat and request an availability that fits the student's needs.
  4. Approval & Assignment
Valley Health reviews and approves (or declines) the request. Academic Services assigns the rotation in Exxat.
  5. Confirm Placement
The school rep clicks "Confirm" in Exxat to finalize scheduling.
  6. Student Onboarding
The student receives an onboarding email from Exxat and uploads all required documents.
  7. Final Clearance
    • Academic Services reviews submissions
    • Student status changes to Compliant
    • Final clearance is sent via Exxat or email
Students may begin clinical hours only after clearance is received.

For help using the platform, visit the Exxat One Help Center for detailed guides and resources on managing placements and onboarding. For any technical issues, reach out to the Exxat One Support Team at one-support@exxat.com.

Important Deadlines

All required onboarding documents for each prospective student and faculty member must be submitted at least three weeks prior to the start of the scheduled time slot.

You must receive a final clearance email from Academic Services before entering any clinical unit.
