Valley Health Center for Orthopedic Excellence offers advanced orthopedic care for conditions of the knee, hip, hand, wrist, and elbow. Total Joint Replacement

Our joint replacement specialist uses a tissue-sparing approach to knee replacement that utilizes a side entry point for the procedure, in which muscles and tendons surrounding the knee are separated rather than cut. This preservation of tissue often results in:

• Less pain
• Less swelling and stiffness
• A faster recovery when compared to traditional midline knee replacement

We also offer cementless partial and total knee replacement, using press-fit implants, which preserve more of the natural bone and ligament structure, enabling preservation of more natural range of motion. Our practice also offers direct anterior hip replacement, which is a tissue sparing technique that requires a smaller incision and preserves muscles and tendons surrounding the hip. Our team’s comprehensive offering of minimally invasive and tissue sparing knee and hip replacement techniques gets patients back on their feet quicker, with less pain and scarring, so they can get back to living their active lifestyles sooner.

Hand, Wrist, and Elbow

Our fellowship trained hand and upper extremity surgeon treats conditions of the hand, wrist and elbow. With expertise in wide awake surgery using local anesthesia and minimally invasive approaches, patients can be cared for in an outpatient setting and take part in decision-making as they work with the team to assess results in real time.

Working in conjunction with Valley Health's network of six orthopedic practice locations and ten physical therapy clinics, the multidisciplinary team at Valley Health Center for Orthopedic Excellence provides comprehensive orthopedic care to patients throughout the Northern Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia.
