Community AED Program

Quick access to an AED, or automated external defibrillator, can save the life of someone who is experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. An AED is an easy-to-use medical device that analyzes the heart's rhythm and delivers an electrical shock if needed to help restore the heart’s normal rhythm.
Valley Health’s Community AED Program helps to place AEDs in high traffic locations across the region. The program is made possible through the generous support of the Winchester Medical Center Foundation. Participating organizations are requested to provide $250 towards the initial purchase of the AED, with the Winchester Medical Center Foundation funding the remaining balance and supporting the annual inspection.
