Epilepsy Care at Valley Health

Epilepsy affects more than 3 million people in the United States. Each year, about 200,000 individuals are diagnosed with seizure disorders. Epilepsy is a condition that causes repeated seizures, which can impact both mental and physical functions. If you have two or more seizures, you may have epilepsy.

How We Help You - Virginia Comprehensive Epilepsy Program

Valley Health provides advanced care for epilepsy through the Virginia Comprehensive Epilepsy Program at Winchester Medical Center, founded by epileptologist Paul Lyons, MD (Valley Health Neurology) and neurosurgeon Lee Selznick, MD (Valley Health Virginia Brain & Spine). Our team includes fellowship-trained neurologists, neurosurgeons, and a licensed dietitian. Together, we offer a full range of diagnostic and treatment options designed to improve your quality of life.
