Zachary Kistka, MD, is a board-certified physician specializing in Endocrinology. Dr. Kistka completed medical school at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. While attending medical school he was elected to the Arnold P. Gold Humanism Honor Society. He then completed his Internal Medicine Residency at University Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. While there he introduced The D5 to improve diabetes care for patients in the residency clinic. Dr. Kistka received a Doctors Day award for implementing The D5 project. He completed his Endocrinology, Diabetes & Metabolism Fellowship at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. His NIH-funded research focused on the role of B cells in Type I Diabetes.

Dr. Kistka treats patients with endocrine dysfunction and has a special interest in Type I Diabetes, thyroid disease, and endocrine tumors. His favorite part of endocrine practice is developing personal relationships with patients, allowing for more fulfilling treatment of chronic medical conditions.
