Trimble Spitzer, MD, is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist (OBGYN) and Reproductive Endocrinology/Infertility (REI) specialist. Dr. Spitzer attended Mary Baldwin University, graduating cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in physics. She earned her medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, VA. She went on to complete internship and residency training at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and fellowship training at the University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. Spitzer recently retired as a Colonel with over 20 years of active-duty service to the United States Air Force medical corps. Her most recent clinical practice has been as an REI provider at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. Dr. Spitzer holds the academic rank of Professor at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences.

Dr. Spitzer received the ASRM / NICHD / DUKE Clinical Research / Reproductive Scientist Training (CREST) Scholar award for her academic research work in the field of reproductive medicine. She continues to be active in research, having mentored large teams of students, residents and clinical fellows in areas of infertility and women’s health. Her areas of interest include infertility, recurrent pregnancy loss, and fertility preservation.
