Susan Gawalt, MD, is a board-certified pediatrician with decades of experience providing comprehensive compassionate medical care to infants, children and adolescents. She earned her bachelor of science degree from the College of William and Mary and received her doctor of medicine degree from the University of Virginia. She completed her residency training in pediatrics at Vanderbilt University, where she developed a strong foundation in evidence-based clinical care.
In 1997, Dr. Gawalt joined Pediatric Associates of Winchester (now Valley Health Pediatrics) and has since been honored to care for multiple generations of families within the community. She is committed to delivering high quality, patient-centered care that emphasizes prevention, early intervention and long-term wellness. Dr. Gawalt values establishing enduring relationships with families and considers it a privilege to support her patients from infancy through young adulthood, sharing their milestones and achievements.
Dr. Gawalt has a particular interest in the management of complex and chronic medical conditions.
