About
Rebekah Funkhouser, Au.D., is an audiologist specializing in diagnostic testing and care for patients of all ages. Dr. Funkhouser has a profound connection to her life’s work. At nine months old, she contracted bacterial meningitis and was diagnosed with profound sensorineural hearing loss. She received a cochlear implant at 16 months old. Her hearing loss led her to pursue a career in audiology.
Dr. Funkhouser received her Bachelor's degree in psychological science from the University of Mary Washington. She went on to obtain her Doctorate in Audiology at Nova Southeastern University. She completed her externship at New York University Cochlear Implant Center in New York City.
Dr. Funkhouser was born and raised in Mount Jackson, Virginia, and is glad to provide care in the region she calls home.
