Matthew Byler, MD, FACS, MBA, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained Bariatric Surgeon.

Dr. Byler completed medical school at Texas Tech University where he also received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. His dedication to surgery led him to the University of Virginia where he completed his General Surgery internship and residency. Dr. Byler also completed his fellowship in Advanced GI/Minimally Invasive Surgery at the University of Virginia.

During his residency, Dr. Byler discovered his connection with bariatric surgery patients, profoundly moved by the impact he could have on their lives by helping them regain health and functionality. He values the relationships he builds with his patients and is dedicated to providing exceptional surgical care to enhance their quality of life. His passion for surgery extends into its multidisciplinary nature, involving collaboration with all healthcare team members from the clinic to the operating room, throughout the hospital setting, and after discharge, ensuring comprehensive and top-notch care.
