John Lundgren, PA-C, worked for several years as an RN in critical care. He then returned to school and received his physician assistant degree from Cuyahoga College. Upon graduation, he began his career in general surgery working with his father, brother and sister, all general surgeons, in a robust, busy, rural practice. He then transitioned to cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery in the early 2000s. He received extensive training and experience in endoscopic vessel harvesting, minimally invasive approaches and robotic surgery. Before returning to Valley Health, he enjoyed traveling to many parts of the country as a locums (temporary/interim) in cardiac and thoracic surgery. He is excited to be back “home” and looks forward to serving the local community.
John also enjoys spending time with his family and friends and is an avid outdoor enthusiast, participating in fly fishing, flintlock shooting and traditional archery.
