Catherine Dowling, DO, FASA, is a board-certified physician anesthesiologist and has been Medical Director for Winchester Medical Center’s S.T.A.R.T. (Pre-Op) Clinic for 5 years. As director, she has been a champion for medically preparing patients for elective surgery which includes being a liaison between the Department of Anesthesiology and the Department of Surgery. Dr. Dowling is originally from Philadelphia, where she attended medical school through the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Following medical school training, Dr. Dowling completed an Anesthesiology residency at Monmouth Medical Center, and Cardiac Anesthesia fellowship as well as a Cardiac fellowship through Deborah Heart and Lung Institute. Dr. Dowling holds additional leadership positions with Winchester Medical Center, Valley Health, and the Virginia Society of Anesthesiologists.
