Alex Miller, MD
About
Alex Miller, MD, is a double board-certified Maternal Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB-GYN) specialist. Dr. Miller attended medical school at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. She competed OB-GYN residency at Womack Army Medical Center at Fort Liberty, NC, and Maternal Fetal Medicine fellowship through the Yale School of Medicine in New Haven, CT. Prior to coming to Valley Health, she served in the US Army for over a decade.
Dr. Miller’s clinical interests include preterm birth, perinatal palliative care, and fetal diagnosis, including amniocentesis. Her research background includes evaluation of immune mechanisms that contribute to preterm birth. Dr. Miller values patient collaboration and enjoys keeping families well-informed and actively involved in their care.
