Echocardiogram
An echocardiogram is a specialized test using sound waves to take images of your heart, allowing your doctor to see the function of the heart muscle, heart valves and other structures. You simply lie down on your left side on a special exam table. This test does not require any pre-exam preparation by the patient. An echocardiogram takes approximately 45 minutes to complete.
