Community Wellness Festival

The 25th annual Valley Health Community Wellness Festival will include health screenings, learning and fun for all ages. The festival will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2019, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Apple Blossom Mall in Winchester.

The following free or low cost screenings will be available at the 2019 Festival:

  • Low-cost blood testing by Valley Health Laboratory Services
  • Free cardiovascular disease screening by Valley Health Heart & Vascular
  • Free heart attack risk profile by the Valley Health Heart Attack Risk Program
  • Free blood pressure checks by Shenandoah University School of Nursing
  • Free blood glucose testing by Shenandoah University School of Nursing
  • Free hearing, vision & glaucoma screening by Lions of Virginia

In addition to health screenings, more than 80 exhibitors will be participating sharing important health and wellness information. The Festival also features kids’ activities and fitness demonstrations throughout the day.

REVIVE! Rescuer Training at the Community Wellness Festival
How to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose
10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

  • Are you currently using or taking opioids such as heroin or prescription pain medications?
  • Are you a friend or family member of someone who currently uses or is taking opioids
  • Are you interested in learning how to save lives?
  • Are you interested in getting NARCAN medication free?

If you answered yes to any of these, consider attending the REVIVE! Training Event. Advance registration is required.
