Family Connections: The McKees

At Valley Health, we love to highlight family members who work together and who share the same passion for patient care.

Let's meet Teresa McKee and her daughter, Kaylynn. Teresa is a physician practice coordinator at Valley Health Pulmonary and Sleep Specialists, while Kaylynn is an optometry technician at Valley Health Eye Specialists.

Why did you choose to join Valley Health?

Teresa: Our office merged with the pulmonary office at Valley Health in 2021.

Kaylynn: I chose to work at Valley Health because of its strong reputation for patient care and the opportunity to continue learning and growing in my career.

What do you like about working at Valley Health?

Teresa: The benefits that are offered through Valley Health are great, along with the multiple opportunities to further your career. Also, working with the amazing group of doctors we get to work with is an added bonus!

Kaylynn: My favorite part is the people. I enjoy working with a supportive team, meeting new patients every day, and knowing that I’m helping improve someone’s vision and overall experience.

What do you like about working with your daughter/mother?

Teresa: That if she needs anything, she is right across the hall. I get to see her more now that she works at Valley Health than I did when she worked at another facility.

Kaylynn: It’s nice knowing we’re right there for each other. Whether we need a quick chat, have a question, or need help with something in the office, we can always walk across the hall and count on one another. It’s reassuring to have that support nearby while still being able to do our own jobs.
