Virtual Care for Employees

Starting January 1, 2025, there will be a new, more cost-effective way to receive virtual care for Peak by Valley Health members. Moving forward, to access virtual care, download the Teladoc Health app available in the Apple and Google Play app stores and set up your profile to schedule a virtual visit.

Virtual visits scheduled through the user-friendly Teladoc app will have a lower co-pay than in past years. Now, employees and their dependents can expect to pay a $5 co-pay (previous co-pay was $25).

Because Teladoc is being administered by Peak by Valley Health, claims will be processed by Peak Health, and member financial responsibility will now be included automatically toward your Maximum Out-of-Pocket expense.

Teladoc providers can treat mild illnesses and symptoms such as:

  • Sore throat
  • Cold and flu
  • Allergies
  • Urinary tract infections
  • Ear infections
  • Pink eye

If you are experiencing more serious symptoms or illness, a Teladoc provider may refer you to the appropriate medical facility for an in-person medical exam or emergency care to treat your condition.
