About
Christopher Hagen, MD, is a board-certified family medicine physician. He completed undergraduate degrees in biology and Hispanic studies at St. John’s University and earned his medical degree from Virginia Commonwealth University. He completed his family medicine residency at Oregon Health & Science University–Cascades East.
Between his undergraduate studies and medical school, Hagen spent two years working as a nursing assistant at a respite shelter for individuals experiencing homelessness in Washington, D.C. He also has experience as a hospitalist, where he gained exposure to acute care and strengthened his commitment to preventive medicine and continuity of care.
A Virginia native, Hagen is passionate about serving the Shenandoah Valley Family Practice Residency Program and helping patients integrate evidence-based preventive strategies to support long-term health goals.
