James A. Salata, MD is a board-certified otolaryngologist. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery and the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Salata received a Bachelor’s degree from Franklin and Marshall College and Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Pennsylvania. He completed residency training in surgery and otolaryngology at Eastern Virginia Medical School. He subsequently served as an otolaryngologist for the United States Air Force at Andrew’s Air Force Base. Dr. Salata joined Shenandoah Head and Neck Specialists in 2000. His interests include surgery of the thyroid, parathyroid and salivary glands, ear surgery, nasal and sinus surgery, head and neck skin cancer and reconstruction, and pediatric otolaryngology.
