Valley Health Employee Referral Program

We empower our employees to refer qualified health care professionals in their network. Any current Valley Health employee, regardless of job status, is eligible to receive a bonus for referring external candidates (non-Valley Health employees) to certain Full Time or Part Time positions. Internal transfers are not eligible.

What steps should the referred candidate take?

  • The team member must make sure the applicant puts their name on the application
  • A referred candidate must accept the offer within six months of the application submission date

What criteria determine a referring team member's eligibility to receive an incentive?

  • The position must be full or part-time status
  • Both the referring team member and the newly hired team member must be actively employed by Valley Health 90 days after the new hire's start date

How does payout work?

Referral bonuses are paid in two installments:

  • 1st installment is paid after 90 days of employment
  • 2nd installment is paid at 12 months of employment

Is there anything else I should know?

  • The referral incentive amount varies by position. Incentive amounts are posted on this page.
  • If multiple employees refer the same candidate, the candidate will select who should receive the referral bonus
  • The referral incentive amount for a position is established at the time an application is submitted
  • A requisition filled by an internal candidate for a transfer or promotion is not eligible for a referral incentive
  • Rehires are considered employee referrals only if they are returning to Valley Health greater than 12 months from their last date of employment
  • If a Valley Health employee is a part of the hiring process for the referred candidate, they are not eligible for the referral bonus
