What do you like about working with your daughter? Shannon and I work in different departments, but working with my daughter at VHS is exciting because I know we both are very proud to be a part of an organization that takes pride in helping not only our employees but also the community. I know how much Shannon loves working here, and I will be excited to see her grow within VHS.

Why did you choose Valley Health? I have a friend who approached me one day and was telling me about VHS. She spoke of all that VHS does for the employees and the community. I knew at the time that I needed to make a work change and I’m very thankful that I made that move 20 years ago. I work with a great group of ladies. We are more like family than coworkers. We have been through so much together. We support each other and care for each other and the employees at VHS.

What do you like about working with your mom? I don’t get to work side by side with my mom on a daily basis, but it is nice having her just a phone call away. It gives us a chance to participate in some of the workplace activities together, like classes offered by VHS.

Why did you choose Valley Health? I started looking for employment at VHS not long after my mom started her career here. She had nothing but good things to say about the environment, benefits and the career opportunities. It also allows me to work with the community, which I love.
