Family Connections: Tom Noser and Shannon Parsons

Family Connections: Tom Noser and Shannon Parsons

We like to think of Valley Health as one large family, and nothing personifies that more than when family members and couples choose to work together in our health system. This week we highlight three family members and why they choose to work at Valley Health, ultimately serving our community by improving health.

  • Brother-in-law: Tom Noser, Clinical Manager of Medical Imaging at PMH
  • Sister-in-law: Shannon Parsons, LPN, Clinic Nurse with PMH

Tom

What do you enjoy about working with family: Shannon is a great contact at the clinic level; she is my go-to when we need an X-ray order clarified or direct contact with one of the physicians. I know I can always count on her to respond quickly and efficiently and we work together for the best patient experience possible.

Why did you choose Valley Health/PMH: We both chose PMH/VHS because we love giving back to the community in which we are both from. There is no better feeling than helping your own patients right here at home.

Shannon

What do you enjoy about working with family: The benefits of working with a family member are always knowing your patient is in good hands and that the best possible care is given every time! Tom is a wonderful and caring coworker and we are often working together for a common patient.

Why did you choose Valley Health/PMH: Tom and I are both Luray High School graduates who still live in Page County, so there is tremendous pride in helping our local community. With me being a clinic nurse and Tom in RADS, I know when I refer them over to him that he will provide the best care, EVERYTIME!

Work With Family

At Valley Health, we are looking for passionate, innovative, and caring people who will each bring their unique skills and perspectives to our workplace. We believe our exceptional team members are the foundation of our culture and key to our success at providing safe, high-quality care with high reliability.

We encourage our caregivers to invite their family, friends and network of dedicated colleagues to work (and perhaps live) in a community like ours. We offer an expanded employee referral bonus program which includes a $1,000 and up to $5,000 bonus (depending on position) for BOTH the referring employee AND the new hire being referred.
