Valley Health is proud to expand our midwifery services to Winchester Medical
Center and Warren Memorial Hospital. Certified Nurse Midwives (CNM’s)
are medical care providers that provide medical and emotional care as
well as guidance to the women they serve. A midwife looks at a woman’s
well-being holistically, and strives to keep the whole woman healthy—mind and body.
Often, a midwife educates you and empowers you to be an active participant
in the health of you and your baby—a person who gives you guidance
on nutrition, listens to your baby’s heartrate and takes your blood
pressure; but also who listens to
you, counsels you and helps you as you transition into motherhood. In addition
to pregnancy care, CNM’s also provide well-woman care in the form
of gynecological care.
