Thomas S. Kluge is president of two Valley Health hospitals: Hampshire Memorial Hospital
in Romney, W. Va., and War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
Kluge provides strategic leadership and oversight of the operations of
both facilities and serves on Valley Health’s senior management
team. Working with the Board and hospital leadership teams, he is responsible
for the growth, development, financial performance, talent management
and employee engagement, physician recruitment and relations, development
of clinical and service programs, and patient safety, quality and process
Kluge has more than 30 years of experience in hospital administration in
Virginia and Georgia. He was chief operating officer at Sentara Halifax
Regional Hospital in South Boston, Va., from 1989 until May 2016, and
has worked on Certificate of Public Need, construction, information technology
upgrades, service line development and capital projects.
Kluge earned a Master of Health Services Administration and Bachelor Science
degree from the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU).
