War Memorial Hospital operates as a non-profit facility providing healthcare services to a population of about 18,000 in Morgan County, WV and surrounding areas. Licensed by the State of West Virginia as a Critical Access Hospital (CAH), War Memorial features 25 inpatient beds (21 private rooms), 16 long-term care beds, and a six-bed emergency department. War Memorial offers acute and skilled care, 24-hour emergency services, and a variety of ancillary and outpatient services that you might not expect from a small, rural facility.
The new state-of-the-art War Memorial Hospital is opening on Saturday, April 28 and is located off of Fairview Drive.

The new $30 million, 87,000 square-foot facility includes upgraded technologies throughout the building, a helipad, and plenty of parking. This modern healthcare facility will better serve the needs of the community with enhanced space for outpatient services, physician office space, a state-of-the-art education suite, large dining area and courtyard. In addition to the spaciousness, soothing color schemes, and extensive natural light, patients and visitors will notice several privacy enhancements and improved security features
