The Medical Radiography Program at Winchester Medical Center is a full-time (40 hr. week) approximate 2 year program. The applicant needs a high school diploma or the equivalent as well as at least 15 general education college credits selected from the following listing:

Mathematics for Allied Health

College Composition I

College Composition II

Medical Terminology I

Principles of Public Speaking

Principles of Psychology

The hours are 7:30 am – 4:00 pm most days. There are weekly rotations through the evening shift after the first semester. Evening rotations are 12:30 pm – 9:00 pm. Students would rotate through the evening shift about once every 8 weeks.

After your application is received you will be notified of aptitude testing dates available through the Medical Radiography Program. Testing will primarily concentrate on basic math, algebra, and reading comprehension (testing will begin in late summer). We will review your results and determine if you are eligible to continue in the application process. If you are eligible you will be invited to return for observation in our Medical Imaging department. After observation, selected applicants will be invited back for an introductory interview with school personnel. Those selected to advance to final interviews will be given the decision of the selection committee promptly following the final interview date.  There will be a $400.00 non-refundable deposit upon acceptance to the program that will be used for seminar expenses in the senior year of the program.

Tuition is currently $2,000.00 per semester or $8,000.00 total (This does not include the price of uniforms). Once accepted into the program your are able to apply for financial assistance through Winchester Medical Center.  This program is designed to assist eligible students to further their education in an allied health care program. A maximum of $8,000.00 is available for a student enrolled in the Medical Radiography Program. Only those who presently plan to work for the Medical Center may qualify for a loan. Students not applying for financial assistance will be required to make the 1st semester payment the first day of class.
