The Winchester Medical Center, which opened in 1990, is a state-of-the-art regional hospital. This 408-bed referral hospital draws a very diverse population of patients from four states—Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania. Residents spend most of their first year working here side by side with highly respected, board-certified specialists and family physicians.

Warren Memorial Hospital (a 25-minute scenic drive from Winchester) is a fully renovated, 131-bed community hospital including and attached long-term facility. This small town hospital plays a vital role in meeting the medical needs of Front Royal (population 12,500) and the surrounding rural areas. Second and Third year residents have their primary hospital responsibilities at Warren Memorial Hospital, which is adjacent to the Front Royal Family Practice Center.

Prince William Hospital in nearby Manassas is the site of our excellent OB block rotations. This modern 170-bed hospital has a Birthing Center and serves a large indigent maternity care population.
